Facilities Management will have a contractor making upgrades to the steam system, utilizing the manhole located at the Southwest corner of Centennial Hall (building 29) by the Women's Plaza beginning today, October 7, 2024. 

Pedestrian traffic to the area around the manhole will be barricaded and pedestrian and bike traffic diverted until the work is complete.

Facilities Management Renovations will have a contractor assisting with the demolition of exiting, framing, electrical and plumbing in rooms 724 and 724A  of Marley (building 107) beginning Monday, October 21, 2024 at 6:00AM.

There will be intermittent use of the freight elevator and noise disruptions in the surrounding areas while the demolition and renovations are in progress.

Work will continue Monday - Friday from 6:00AM-3:00PM through February 1, 2025.

UFS-Facilities Management Fire Safety department will oversee the upgrade of the Fire Alarm System and Sprinkler system.  Workers will be in the building working on installation.  All workers will have their company shirt or vest on for identification purposes. There will be some noise associated with hammer drills and core drills. An outside contractor has scheduled a 24/7 full road closure of Park Avenue from Monday, 12/23/24, at 5AM to Friday, 1/10/24, at 5PM to repave the asphalt on Park Avenue. Please be aware that Park Avenue will be completely closed between Speedway and 2^nd Avenue. A traffic control plan of the closure is attached for reference. Access to the Aspire/Parker parking garages will be maintained from Tyndall/1^st Avenue.
